The British newspaper The Guardian published the article Adventure Holidays: Hot Tips for 2010 in which it presented the opinions of experts about the most exciting trips for adventurous tourists – from Papua New Guinea's jungles to Greenland's ice floes.
According to The Guardian, for adventurous horse trekking you can't beat Kyrgyzstan. The routes take tourists high into the snow-capped mountains, in the footsteps of nomads and Silk Road traders. The best season for horse trekking trips in Kyrgyzstan is between June and September.
