With a view to simplify visa procedures for foreign tourists and to increase the attractiveness of the tourist market of Kyrgyzstan the Kyrgyz government adopted a resolution on introduction of the on-line electronic visa service. The new visa issue system will considerably reduce the procedural time required to obtain Kyrgyz entry visa.
In the context of the country’s foreign policy, with one of its goals being the creation of favourable environment to attract investments and tourist flows to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz government undertakes certain steps on liberalization of visa regime. In February this year there was approved a new list of countries whose citizens can enjoy the simplified visa system. The new list includes 45 states of the world, thus outnumbering the previous list in force by 17 states.
