After 4 years of intensive building activities, in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region there was completed the construction of a railway tunnel linking Jinghe, Inin and Horgos in the west of Xinjiang. This 13.6-kilometre-long tunnel caves in the northern part of the Tien Shan mountains and is an integral part of the country’s second railway line to Central Asia.
The first railway line to link China with Central Asian countries runs from Urumchi to Alashankou pass on China-Kazakhstan border.
The length of the second railway line will be 285 km. Railing of the line is scheduled for March this year.
