In Ulugchat district (XUAR), the utmost western point of the country, there was started the construction of a new Irkeshtam border checkpoint.

CHINA: China is building the second railway line to Central Asia

After 4 years of intensive building activities, in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region there was completed the construction of a railway tunnel linking Jinghe, Inin and Horgos in the west of Xinjiang. This 13.6-kilometre-long tunnel caves in the northern part of the Tien Shan mountains and is an integral part of the country’s second railway line to Central Asia. read more
